Janet Snyder
QC Technologist
Biography
Janet has over 35 years of experiences as a Radiologic Technologist.
She started her professional experience in a hospital environment
performing radiographic examinations, which soon included Department
Supervisor, Student Instructor and then Chief Technologist position.
Her experience continued while working at an Orthopedic and Radiologist
private office performing pertinent radiographic examinations and
managing the radiographic aspect of the business. Returning to the
hospital setting, her position of Patient Coordinator included department
work flow, some CT and Ultrasound examinations, review radiographs
for quality, and Quality Control testing. Her position then changed
to Assistant Technical Director/Quality Control Technologist. Responsibilities
included all NYSDOH and MQSA mandatory QC evaluations, Radiology
Department management duties, evaluate equipment problems and provide
customer service.
Janet joined Upstate Medical Physics in 1998 as a Physicist Assistant.
She works closely with the Physicists using her knowledge of NYSDOH
and MQSA mandatory QC requirements. Her duties include performing
radiation measurements and image quality analysis for radiographic
and fluoroscopic modalities.
Janet is originally from Indian Falls, NY.
