Nikhil Kabilan

Nikhil received his B.S. in Physics and Mathematics from UNC-CH and his Master’s in Medical Physics from CAMPEP-accredited Columbia University of New York. During his graduate studies, Nikhil worked as a graduate researcher for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. He performed research investigating automatic segmentation methods of patient images leading to the generation of virtual phantoms for the purposes of dosimetry as well as the implementation of machine learning models in image diagnostics.

He joined Upstate Medical Physics as a first-year resident in June of 2024.

Originally from Cary, NC, Nikhil now resides in Irondequoit, where he spends much of his time hiking, watching movies, or practicing martial arts.
