Subhash Paudel

Subhash Paudel is a medical physics professional who has completed a postdoctoral certificate in Medical Physics at Virginia Commonwealth University and is currently a medical physics resident at Upstate Medical Physics. He holds a PhD in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Old Dominion University, along with advanced degrees in physics, and has a strong foundation in numerical methods, high-performance computing, and scientific programming.

His experience includes quality assurance and testing in diagnostic imaging across multiple modalities, including X-ray, CT, and related systems, with a focus on patient safety and image quality.

He has published peer-reviewed research in applied mathematics and physical chemistry and has a strong interest in integrating machine learning and AI into medical physics to advance cancer research and improve patient outcomes. He is also an experienced educator, having served as a primary instructor and faculty member at several institutions, and is an active member of professional organizations including the AAPM and SIAM.
